With the intuitive, Moon-guided nature of Cancer, this is the perfect season to practice water-scrying. Scrying is a way of divining images, meanings, and spiritual information through a surface, such as crystal ball or, in this case, water. The astrological element of water often relates to intuitive feeling and can offer insight and enhance psychic abilities. You can find answers to your questions by scrying with water and Moon- and Cancer-aligned herbs. Perform this spell by candlelight during the dark and new moons, or use the light of the full moon to guide your vision along the water’s surface. You can also prepare and charge sacred scrying water during this season to use throughout the year to call down the power of the Moon.
You Will Need:
A Bowl to use with water
Water to fill the bowl
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1/2 teaspoon dried jasmine
1/2 teaspoon dried rose petals
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves
Directions:
- Place the bowl before you. Encircle the bowl in sea salt, connecting you to the ocean but also offering a circle of protection as you discern the water’s message.
- Place the jasmine, rose petals, and rosemary into the bowl. Mix them together, connecting to their innate energies and petitioning them to help you perceive messages.
- Say your intention out loud, feeling it resonate through your body, and pour the water into the bowl. Notice how the herbs move in the bowl and if they form any shapes. You can also use your knowledge of the houses and the movement of herbs to divine information.
- Allow your eyes to soften, and use the light of the full moon (if full), upon the water to further discren shapes and images. Watch the movement of the water, the reflection of light upon its surface, and any additional shapes the herbs make.
Enhance Your Lunar Intuition
