~April 23
And I, Wisdom, will come to you
a second time, and this time
in the form of woman. And I will
speak with you then, instructing you
about the coming times, about
the end of things and the beginning of things
which are the same, which occur
at the same time. I will tell you then
about the new time coming
when all will be changeless and good:
thus I, Wisdom, will tell you.
-Gnostic text, The Prophecy of Sophia
When Wisdom comes calling for us, she usually wears a disguise. Only rarely does she come dressed in the robes of a distinguished teacher or a sage. No, usually we find her in the garb of a homeless woman on the street, or a bird that sings outside our window, or even the clouds that scud across a blue spring sky. We must learn to look for Wisdom in her many guises, or we may miss her precious teaching. The lessons she has for us—important lessons, even vital ones—are not offered to those who fail to recognize the teacher.
What lessons will she offer you today? Where will she be hiding in your life? Will she appear as a voice or a thought, a vision or a faint memory? However she appears, you can recognize her, for your heart and soul respond immediately when you are in her presence. Hear her message today, and act upon it.
