Clota was a popular Goddess and the namesake of the River Clyde. In England she was called Clud and Cludoita, and in Wales, Clwyd. The waters in which she ruled were believed to be especially useful in controlling seizures.
Correspondences: Lobelia. This herb, although poisonous, was frequently distilled by old-time herbalists to control seizures. It is best to refrain from ingestion of this herb as the negative consequences far outweigh any benefits.
