The Cosmic Pause: Navigating the Void
Tuesday, April 4, 2023
Have you felt that strange, floaty sensation this morning? The kind where your coffee doesn’t seem to kick in and your emails feel like they’re written in a forgotten language? There’s a celestial reason for that tetherless feeling.
At 8:49 am ET, the Moon went Void of Course (VoC) in the analytical sign of Virgo.
What is the “Void of Course”?
In the craft, we view the Moon as our celestial guide. A “Void of Course” period occurs when the Moon makes its final major aspect to another planet before moving into the next zodiac sign.
Think of it as the Moon taking a cosmic breather. She’s finished her chores in Virgo and is packing her bags for Libra, but for a few hours, she’s simply… drifting. When the Moon is “between stations,” the energy on Earth becomes unpredictable, hazy, and decidedly un-productive.
The Virgo Vibe: Dust and Daydreams
Because this Void began in Virgo, the sign of precision and organization, the “glitch in the matrix” might feel extra frustrating. You might have started a deep-clean only to end up staring at a single tile for twenty minutes, or perhaps you’ve lost your To-Do list entirely.
The Golden Rule of the VoC:
Don’t start anything new. Don’t sign contracts, don’t buy big-ticket items, and definitely don’t launch that new project.
How to Use This Energy
Instead of fighting the fog, lean into the witchery of the “in-between.” This is prime time for:
- Refining Your Altars: Dust off your crystals and rearrange your sacred space.
- Introspective Journaling: Don’t look for answers; just write down the questions.
- Low-Stakes Magic: Light a white candle for clarity, but don’t expect a lightning bolt of manifestation just yet.
- Cleansing: Since Virgo loves purity, use a smoke cleanse or sound bowl to clear out any lingering winter stagnation.
Looking Ahead
The fog will lift once the Moon makes its grand entrance into Libra later today. Until then, give yourself permission to be unproductive. The universe is hitting the “pause” button—you should too.
Stay magical, stay grounded, and watch where you put your keys.
Stay lunar,
Moonzie
