Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart (1948-2014) was an influential figure in the neopagan and pagan communities. She was born as Diana Moore on May 27, 1948, in California, USA. Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart was her chosen name, which reflected her spiritual beliefs and her dedication to living an enchanted life.

Zell-Ravenheart was one of the founders of the Church of All Worlds (CAW), a neopagan religious organization that emerged in the 1960s. The CAW is inspired by Robert A. Heinlein’s science fiction novel “Stranger in a Strange Land” and promotes spiritual exploration, environmentalism, and the practice of magic. Zell-Ravenheart’s contributions to the development and growth of the Church were significant, and she played a vital role in shaping its philosophy and rituals.

She was a proponent of polyamory and coined the term “polyamory” in the 1980s to describe consensual, ethical, and loving relationships involving multiple partners. Zell-Ravenheart practiced and advocated for open relationships and believed in the importance of open communication, trust, and respect within these dynamics.

Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart also had a deep connection with nature and was involved in environmental activism. She saw the Earth as a living entity and worked towards the preservation and conservation of the natural world.

As an author, she wrote numerous articles and essays on topics related to neopaganism, spirituality, polyamory, and other subjects. Her writings appeared in various publications, including Green Egg magazine, which she co-edited with her husband, Oberon Zell-Ravenheart.

Morning Glory Zell-Ravenheart passed away on May 13, 2014, but her legacy continues to inspire and influence individuals within the neopagan and pagan communities. Her contributions to the understanding and acceptance of alternative lifestyles, spirituality, and the interconnectedness of all life are still remembered and respected.
